Strathcona Law Group LLP is a community based full service law firm located in Strathcona County, Alberta. We provide legal services to individuals and corporations in Sherwood Park, Edmonton, and surrounding communities. Founded in 2003, we strive to provide direction by developing comprehensive and cost effective solutions to your legal issues. Together, our team of lawyers, paralegals and support staff have the experience, skill, integrity and commitment to provide reliable advice and effective representation in a diverse number of practice areas. We recognize that our clients are often struggling with difficult situations and that dealing with legal matters can feel complicated and overwhelming.  One of our core values is the provision of a congenial, relaxed atmosphere for our clients and staff to better assist them as they struggle with these realities.

Since our inception, our practice has been focused on family law, civil litigation, personal injury, real estate, wills and estates, employment law and corporate and commercial law. We have recently added expertise in the areas of workplace investigations and fertility law. We also have a comprehensive list of trusted legal professionals to refer clients to in highly specialized areas of law such as tax law.

Our lawyers have extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, and judicial dispute resolution. They have advised and represented parties in litigation in Alberta and British Columbia and have been counsel in cases in the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal of British Columbia, the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatchewan, and the Provincial Court of Alberta. Several of our lawyers are trained and accredited as Collaborative Family Lawyers, which provides our clients with an alternative to litigation for the resolution of family law disputes.

Together we strive to make a difference in our community by sponsorships of events such as the Saffron Centre’s Consent Event, the Terry Fox Run and Race Judicata (which supports Habitat for Humanity). We also support charitable organizations such as the Red Cross, Edmonton Food Bank, Strathcona County Food Bank and Strathcona Shelter Society as well as various inner city community organizations.

When you visit our office or browse our website, you will notice our love and appreciation for art.  Many of the pieces of art throughout our office have been acquired from and / or commissioned from an Alberta artist by the name of Curtis Golomb.  If you get a chance to visit Canmore, we would recommend that you make a stop at the Fallen Leaf Gallery which showcases works by Curtis and other talented Canadian artists.
